Gantt charts are an easy way to see if progress is on track. But integrating Gantt charts and keeping them updated and relevant in real-time has been an elusive dream.
The reasons why this has been elusive are:
- ·Most solutions produce a separate Gantt chart for each project or strategy. Consequently to understand the relationships between projects, strategies, and other tasks; you need to compare the information on a number of Gantt charts.
- Who needs to do what, when and with who to complete a task is often unclear. So it is difficult to indentify, what has been completed and what still needs to be done.
- Progress is usually based on a percentage (%) complete of a task. Consequently a lot of data is required to make a reasonable estimate of task progress, and to understand what the estimate actually means.
- Identifying, collecting and analysing data takes time, so there is usually a time gap (delay) between the occurrence of an event and its incorporation into a Gantt chart.
Me2Team software produces integrated Gantt charts that show the progress of relevant tasks in real-time. Progress is based on completed To Do’s, so the time consuming and stressful collection of data and estimating is eliminated.
Me2Team uses a Plan-on-a-Page to create a list of To Do’s (workflow) required to complete a task. Each time a To Do is completed, the progress bar is moved to the date of the next To Do. When all To Do’s are completed the task is also complete.
A continuous dynamic stakeholder analysis is used to identify the tasks that are relevant to each person. The simple result is that if you are a stakeholder you see the task. The practical effect is that security and privacy is enhanced because non stakeholders are barred from a task.
In summary, Me2Team software automatically customizes Gantt charts and matches progress to what is actually happening (i.e. completed To Do’s). PDF copies of Gantt charts can be easily shared with anyone at anytime.
